Roller Cutter
Roller cutter, also known as raise boring equipment, is mainly used to excavate the ventilation shaft of the underground mine.

Cutting structure
According to the needs of different formations, the matching cutting structure can be designed, including insert material (soft, hard, extremely hard and other formations), insert shape (different insert shapes such as ovoid, spherical, wedge, conical etc.), the number of insert rows (Commonly, five, six, or seven rows).
Bearing structure
The use of high-quality NSK thrust bearings greatly improves the bearing load and stability. Adopt the floating oil seal imported from Germany to prolong the sealing time and improve the bearing life.
Applicability
Targeted design (single, double-hole connection, V-shaped single-hole connection, etc.) is carried out according to the connection method of the tool holder on the customer site, and A, B cutters and A, B, C cutter types are used in conjunction to achieve bottom-hole strike. The full coverage of the broken belt greatly improves the rock breaking efficiency, and has a wide range of applications. It can use cutter heads with diameters of 1 meter, 1.2 meters, 1.4 meters, and 2 meters.
Roller Cutter Nomenclature Rules
Roller cutters are divided into two categories: tungsten carbide insert roller cutters and steel tooth roller cutters. Each model number consists of six segments: product code, diameter code (mm), number of carbide insert rows, cutter type, formation hardness grade and connection type.
| Product Code | SXG (Tungsten Carbide Insert Roller Cutter), SGG (Steel Tooth Roller Cutter) |
|---|---|
| Diameter Code (mm) | Maximum outer diameter of roller cutter, e.g. 250, 310, 320, 340 |
| Number of Insert Rows | Common specifications: 4, 5, 6, 7, 12 rows of carbide inserts and random insert layout |
| Cutter Type | A (Double row inserts on large end), B (Double row inserts on small end), C (Random insert layout), Z (Center Roller Cutter) |
| Formation Hardness Grade | 1 – Soft Strata, 2 – Medium‑Soft Strata, 3 – Medium‑Hard Strata, 4 – Hard Strata, 5 – Extremely Hard Strata |
| Connection Type |
Letter Code (S – Single Hole, D – Double Hole, R – Single & Double Hole, V – V‑face Single Hole, Z – Non perforated………) + Numeral (Revision Number, e.g. 01, 02, ……. |
